The HUB was created by the Transitional Service Network (TSN) in 2003. The TSN was a committee of representatives from 25 youth serving organization who identified a gap in service for young adults ages 16-24 who are experiencing barriers that have hindered their progress toward becoming productive adults. The TSN conducted focus groups and wrote grants to make the HUB a reality. The HUB began serving young people in October 2004. Lincoln Action Program provided leadership and management until the HUB received its 501(c)(3) non-profit designation in April 2007. In July 2007, the HUB became completely independent and owes a great deal of gratitude to the organization that helped fill a void in this community by creating a HUB for young people.
