Lincoln Loves Locals: A Night of Community, Celebration, and Generosity

On a warm September evening, The HUB hosted its annual Lincoln Loves Locals fundraiser—an unforgettable celebration of connection, hope, and hometown pride. The premier event sponsor was Union Bank & Trust. The event brought together over 100 community members for a night filled with delicious food, refreshing drinks, and the soulful sounds of live music.

From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere buzzed with warmth and purpose.

 Delicious food and tasty libations while The Algorhythms kept spirits high with a vibrant set that had attendees singing along, swaying, and smiling all night long.

One of the evening’s highlights was the silent auction, featuring generous contributions from 55 local businesses. From handcrafted goods to unique experiences, the auction showcased the incredible talent and heart of Lincoln’s entrepreneurial community.

Attendees also heard powerful reflections from young adults who have received support through The HUB’s programming. Their stories illuminated the impact of unconditional support and the importance of having a safe space to grow. A video filmed seven years ago offered a moving glimpse into one young adult, Bobbi's story, followed by remarks from Bobbi—HUB alum and newest member of our Board of Directors—who shared how The HUB helped her build a foundation to thrive as an adult.

Thanks to the overwhelming support of attendees, donors, and sponsors, Lincoln Loves Locals raised an inspiring $26,975—funds that will directly support The HUB’s mission to provide unconditional support and access to services for young people as they become productive, independent, and active members of the community.
