Supporting the Transition to Adulthood

We are incredibly honored to share that The HUB Central Access Point for Young Adults was named a Top 5 Finalist in the Community Health Endowment Ideas Challenge for our Guaranteed Cosigner Program concept!

For many young adults aging out of foster care, finding stable housing can feel out of reach. Even with employment and income, barriers like limited credit history, lack of rental references, and not having a trusted adult able to cosign often stand in the way of securing a safe place to live.

Our Guaranteed Cosigner Program is designed to help bridge that gap by combining housing access with financial literacy, tenant education, and ongoing support because housing stability is deeply connected to health, wellbeing, and long-term independence.

We are grateful to the Community Health Endowment for recognizing this innovative work and for investing in ideas that move Lincoln closer to becoming the healthiest city in the nation. While we were not selected as the winner of the health idea challenge, we are so very honored for the opportunity to share this concept and are committed to launching this support in the near future. Most importantly, we are thankful for the resilient young adults who inspire this work every single day.
